The Tooth Fairy: What’s Your Tradition?

February 28 is National Tooth Fairy Day. The tooth fairy is a favorite childhood tradition and is celebrated nightly across the world. The tooth fairy has been around since the early 1900s and it continues to help educate children on dental health.

A baby’s first tooth is a special milestone. Babies will grow 20 teeth over a few years and then will lose all of those teeth in preparation for their adult set. On average, a child loses their first tooth between age 6 – 7.
To mark the special occasion of losing their teeth, the tooth fairy helps to make that experience fun and exciting! Download these activity sheets to help teach your child about the tooth fairy. They use their imagination and draw a picture of their very own tooth fairy and can print out fun activity sheets and a certificate!
What is your favorite family tradition to celebrate the tooth fairy? Does your child leave their tooth under their pillow? Check out these creative ideas for how to show your child the tooth fairy came to visit!
