Cool Off With This: Summer Tips for Your Dental Health
Summer is here which means the sun is out and it’s hot! You may be enjoying your summer vacation or a break from school. Dr. Frankel and team want all of their patients to have fun and enjoy their summer, but also want to remind them not to forget about their teeth!
Before summer ends, read up on our summer tips:
- Opt for healthy snacks by the pool or beach — such as watermelon, homemade fruit popsicles and strawberries.
- Drink lots of water! Not only will water keep you hydrated, but it’s best for your teeth to keep them strong and healthy.
- Schedule your cleaning or dental work (if needed) while you have extra time – especially if your child needs an appointment before starting school.
- Is your child playing a contact sport this fall? Make the appointment to have them fitted for a sport guard before practice starts.
- If you are traveling, pack a dental emergency kit that consists of cold pack, gauze, over-the-counter pain relief. We are here for you 24/7, so don’t wait to call.
