In addition to your daily oral hygiene routine, you can also care for your teeth in the kitchen. Most people know of the foods you should avoid or consume in moderation like sugary, sticky foods, but here is a list of foods that can improve your dental health as they are good sources of calcium:
Cheese – contains proteins and nutrients to strengthen tooth enamel
Apples – high in fiber and water and the act of chewing helps to produce saliva in your mouth which rinses away bacteria and other food particles.
Yogurt – contain pro-biotics (good bacteria) that are beneficial for your gums
Leafy Greens – full of vitamins, minerals and folic acid which may help treat gum disease
Celery – high in Vitamins A and C and helps to scrap away food particles from your teeth
